Treatments

Treatments and what to expect

•  Sports Injuries
•  Back and Neck Pain/stiffness
•  Work related injuries e.g. RSI (repetitive strain injuries)
•  Overuse injuries
•  Muscular strains
•  Ligament and tendon injuries e.g. Achilles tendonopathy, ankle strains, tennis elbow
•  Muscular weakness and imbalances
•  Rehabilitation programmes (Exercises) pre and post-surgery/injury
•  All treatments are conducted on a one to one basis

Sports Therapy is a manual therapy of the musculo-skeletal system, joints, muscles, ligaments and tendons using soft tissue techniques, joint mobilisation and additional therapy equipment if necessary.
Our approach is to look and treat the body as a whole, not just the symptoms.

Consultation

Once a diagnosis has been made appropriate treatment and exercises will be given, a treatment plan will also be discussed with you to discuss how many sessions will be required to enable you to get back to your daily routine or sport.
If you run it would help us if you could bring along your trainers as this can help us in our assessment of specific injuries.
We will commence treatment on the first session, some people might experience a little discomfort after treatment. If this does occur do not worry, it will ease. If you are unsure please call us.
